Join our hosts, Rotary International Vice President Valarie Wafer, and Rotary Foundation Trustee, Dean Rohrs, for our Fundraising Gala on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 8:00 pm ET.   Special guests include RI President-Elect Jennifer Jones, Director-Elect Drew Kessler, and our MC for the evening, Past-Director Jeffry Cadorette.

This 90-minute, fast-paced event celebrates the work by every Rotarian in the 43 Districts of Zones 28 & 32 to support and raise funds for The Rotary Foundation.

It is simple for your District to participate.  The show will be created for you - all you have to do is promote it!

Tickets to the virtual event are available by clicking the poster at the top or clicking this link to Buy Gala Admission Tickets

Each Gala ticket includes a contribution of $100 USD to The Rotary Foundation, allocated 75% to the Annual Fund and 25% to PolioPlus. Your gift will be a fully credited donation to TRF - and you will receive a charitable tax receipt, and related Paul Harris Fellowship points. Plus, each donation is credited towards your District's Foundation Goals for the 2021/22 Rotary year.

As you purchase your Gala Admission Tickets, Rotarians have the opportunity to increase their contribution with additional donations. This gives Rotarians, their clubs, and Districts the opportunity to DO MORE GOOD and meet the goals they have all set for Foundation donations this year.

The Gala event is beginning to shape up with some exciting entertainment, including the One Voice Children's Choir, BYU Vocal Point, and the internationally renowned Violinist, Francisco Fullana.  We will have a return visit from Alex Lifeson of RUSH, with a featured video-performance and interview.

There is a bonus opportunity for you and for the Foundation!! The Silent Auction has gone live as of February 1, 2022, with an array of fantastic items including the following featured priceless offerings:

Hall-of-Fame guitarist Alex Lifeson has donated a custom "Alex Lifeson Les Paul Axcess" Guitar worth MANY thousands of dollars, and he has personally signed it to express his appreciation for the work of Rotarians and our Foundation!

Our own Zone 28 & 32 "First Ladies of Rotary" R.I. President Nominee Jennifer Jones, R.I. Vice-President Elect Valarie Wafer & Trustee Dean Rohrs will visit your District service project in person!  This is an honor for you, your club, and your District that is exclusive to the Zone 28 & 32 Gala 2022!

There are several trips up for auction: The Rocky Mountaineer  two day tour of the Rockies to Red Rock route, in a glass dome coach, with food, drinks and an overnight hotel stop; a week in France (courtesy of PDG Neil Phillips), a week in Florida (courtesy of PDG Alan Hurst) and a golf weekend in Kamloops, BC.

PDG's Marty Helman and Bonnie Sirower are donating handmade quilts, and DGN Brent Collingwood is offering 6 hours of professional counselling.

We are looking for more auction donation items that will appeal to Rotarians across our Zones.  If you have a donation item or suggestion, please contact Sherry Chamberlain at

Districts and clubs are invited to join us at your own in-person celebrations.  Our President-Elect Jennifer and Director-Elect Drew will lead us on a tour of Zones 28 & 32.  They will drop-in LIVE at selected events as we open the celebration and join your gatherings from Alaska to Bermuda and all points in between.  Events can be house parties, pub gatherings, or ballroom events.  If you are interested in having us visit your venue or event in your District, let us know by emailing Chair Peter Schultz at

Note that we need everyone at your event to purchase a ticket to the Celebration Gala - after all, this is a fundraiser for The Rotary Foundation!

Why, yes.  Thank you for asking.

We are asking each District to appoint at least one person as a liaison on our Committee to be involved with the planning and promotion of the Celebration Gala.
