Plans for the Vancouver Hub portion of the Imagine Canada Rotary tour are still being developed.  At this time, we intend to start the day by welcoming Rotary International President, Jennifer Jones, and husband Nick Krayacich, at the airport and then bringing them directly to the Peace Arch Park.  We are inviting Rotarians and partner groups to set up tents and displays of their service project as a showcase.  First on board is Rotarian Celeste Mergens and Days for Girls, which will have ready to assemble menstrual kits.
We will be having a family friendly picnic event, and we encourage Rotarians, their families and friends to pack your own food and blankets and join us for a fun morning.  Jennifer is expected to arrive at the park between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m.
Jennifer and Nick will then be off to visit the Aboriginal Mother's Centre in Vancouver, where Write to Read has recently installed a Learning Centre.  Write To Read has installed computer labs and libraries throughout BC and was created by Rotarian Bob Blacker and former BC Lieutenant Governor (and Rotarian) Steven Point.

Then we will end the day with another family friendly late afternoon / dinner BBQ at a location to be determined.
We are looking for volunteers, partner organizations and helpers.  If you have ideas, suggestions, comments, skills or contacts that can assist, please contact Vancouver Hub Chair Sean Hogan - CLICK HERE TO EMAIL.
