Join Rotarians from around 7170 as we hear from our Rotary International President Elect Holger Knaack!
District 7170 will be hosting a Zoom "Pass the Gavel" ceremony on Thursday May 28th at noon. We are honored to have Rotary International President Elect Holger Knaack as our Key Note Speaker. The Zoom meeting has a limit of 300 attendees and registration is required . We will be inviting other Rotarians from around the world to attend beginning at 11:50, so please log-on early (please see the attached Zoom invitation/link). This is a 2 part event, Key Note address by President-elect Holger, followed by the annual Pass the Gavel Ceremony .
For those of you are who are not familiar with Pass the Gavel; the District Governor Nominee Designate (Rocky Martinez) moves up to the position of District Governor Nominee. District Governor Nominee (Evan Kurtz) will move up to District Governor Elect and our current District Governor Elect (Matt Adler) will be pinned as District Governor. Although the positions don’t officially change until July 1st we wanted to have a celebration in the presence of our Incoming RI President. I'd like to add, District Governor Dave has done an incredible job this year and we look forward to showing him our appreciation and thank him for a job well done.
Holger plans to do a Q&A following his presentation. Please send me your questions in advance so we can do everything possible to run this event as efficiently as possible.
