Richard A. Angle Lifetime Achievement Award


The Richard A. Angle Lifetime Achievement Award was established by the Rensselaer Rotary Club in 
2006 to honor an outstanding member of Rotary who held the qualities shown by Rich in his years of 
Rotary service (1980-2005) and (2003-2004) as District Governor of District 6540. Rich joined the 
Rensselaer Club in 1980 and served there until he moved to the Fowler Club in 1985. While in the 
Fowler Club he served as President twice (1989-90 and 1995-96) with many committee chairmanships, 
and on the district level he served as District Trainer (1996-97) under Art Malasto and (1997-98) 
under Albert Alazraki. He was elected District Governor Elect in 2002-03.
 
Rich was diagnosed with cancer during his DG year and died on May 14, 2005.
 
Each year the committee will select an outstanding Rotarian from District 6540 to receive the award 
at the   District Conference.
