As I end my year as District Governor, I want to say that I have been truly humbled to serve as your District Governor! I again want to personally thank all the Rotarians in District 5890 for making the past year so special.
I have so many wonderful memories of the last year that it would be impossible to mention them all. The Clubs and Rotarians in District 5890 are amazing, and have done an excellent job at Reaching within to Embrace Humanity to make the world a better place for the less fortunate.
I have so many wonderful memories of the last year that it would be impossible to mention them all. The Clubs and Rotarians in District 5890 are amazing, and have done an excellent job at Reaching within to Embrace Humanity to make the world a better place for the less fortunate.
Clubs and Rotarians in District 5890 have excelled in their accomplishments in all Five Avenues of Service. Rotarians have set a new per capita record in annual fund giving. The Clubs have increased their public awareness in both the traditional media as well as social media. The Clubs have increased their New Generations programs by growing and participating in Interact, Rotaract, Youth Exchange and EarlyAct FirstKnight. The Clubs started new vocational projects. The Clubs over doubled the pints of blood that were donated by their efforts. The Clubs have done amazing local and international projects. So, all in all it has been a fantastic Rotary year!
I know the District is in good hands, and will grow even stronger under Governor Chris Schneider’s leadership. I have been able to spend a lot of time with Chris in the past three years, and his passion for Rotary is second to none. He comes from a Rotary family and understands at a very deep level that Rotarians, through their service, can make the world a better place.
So, as I say goodbye as your Governor, I want to thank all the Rotarians in District 5890 for allowing me to serve you as your Governor this past Rotary year.
