Everyone is invited to the 3rd Annual District 5890 Rotex "Taste of Nations" which is a FREE EVENT!   The current Inbound Rotary Youth Exchange Students will prepare and bring a dish from their home country to share with everyone. We'll have a silent auction from 2-4 PM, a DJ,  plus there will also be a fun photo booth.

This is a FREE event, but please click here to RSVP via EventBrite.

It will be an afternoon of fellowship, sharing of cultures, friendship, and food.  Come meet the Inbound RYE students!   Click here for photos from our 1st Taste of Nations event.

What is Rotex?  As former Rotary Youth Exchange Students, these young leaders were ambassadors and represented their Rotary clubs, their Rotary districts, Texas, the U.S.A. and Rotary while they were abroad.  Once they return home, they are members of an elite, international group called Rotex.  While not an official Rotary program, Rotex are alumni of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.  Our D5890 Rotex meet twice each month to meet for fellowship, and do community service projects.  They also host social events for the inbounds students like bowling parties, taking them to the beach and volunteer opportunities with the main goal of serving as mentors for the Inbound RYE students. They also support the RYE Program through promotion and involvement at the orientations for Inbound and Outbound exchange students.
