District 5890 Camp RYLA

Our 2021 Rotary District 5890 RYLA Camp will be virtual!

Dear Rotarian,

We are excited to announce the opening of virtual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards(RYLA) applications for 2021. We ask that you share the online application with your Chair of Youth Services, Interact sponsors, and interested members. RYLA is a weekend dedicated to honing the leadership skills of your district’s youth and can be accredited to serving as a pipeline for many of our District’s Rotarians. 

This year the RYLA committee made the decision to host the weekend camp over Zoom. This allows our campers, coaches, and chaperones a safe and alternative space to share their leadership experience. 

With the change in venue, we are providing clubs the opportunity to donate an additional $5 to the traditional host (Carolina Creek Christian Camp) to assist them during these trying times. The Carolina Creek Christian Camp family has always provided our campers with a unique place to learn and grow and we hope that our donation can help them through this year so we can return in 2022.

We are excited for this year’s program and want to proactively thank the sponsoring clubs, Rotarians, and coaches who will step up and make this year’s RYLA an interactive and memorable experience.

Who: Freshman, sophomore, and junior high school students. A connection to Rotary is not necessary.  Yes, family members of Rotarians and Rotaractors are welcomed to attend RYLA!

Application Deadline: April 9th, 2021

When: Saturday, April 24th & Sunday, 25th, 2021

Cost for Clubs: $35/per camper + optional $5 donation to Carolina Christian Creek Camp. The RYLA committee will notify clubs on a rolling basis of the applicants.
