2018 Interact District Conference

Attendance is limited to only 400 Interactors! 

Interact Teacher/Faculty Advisers:  Please register those Interactors that your records show have exemplary attendance at Interact club meetings, service projects, and fundraisers, and have paid their club and district dues.  Consider this and "Interact Honor Roll" event.

Our District 5890 Interact Conference is an annual district-wide event in which Interactors, Rotarians, and Teacher Advisors from all over District 5890 gather together to learn more about Interact, Rotary, District 5890, and share ideas.  It's a time to celebrate a school year of service to others.

Meet the remarkable Rotary Youth Exchange Students, talk to other Interactors about their fundraising and service project ideas, learn about district goals, plus ways to work together to strengthen the spirit of friendship district wide!  You’ll even have chances to win great door prizes! 

Interact Club 3-Minute Presentations:  We want to see what you've done this school year!  Each Interact club will be invited on stage to give a 3-minute presentation using a video, photo slideshow, or PowerPoint presentation so we can see your accomplishments.

Cost:  $20 Registration Fee/Interactor includes a t-shirt, donuts/kolaches for breakfast, lunch, dinner, beverages and snacks, plus social activities.  

Chaperones:  ALL Interact clubs must have at least one chaperone at the event at all times.  Chaperones can be Parents, Teacher Advisers, Rotarians and Rotaractors (age 21 or older) and they attend for free, but please add their names to the Registration Form with times they'll be there so food can be ordered.  

Time:  Check-in will be from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM  the conference will begin at 10:00 AM and will end Saturday evening at 10:30 PM.  Students must be picked up by 11 PM on Saturday, March 24th.  

Sponsors and Door Prizes needed!  Ask your sponsoring Rotary club to help obtain these items.  Each Interact club is encouraged to bring $25 - $50 of door prizes.  We’ll be giving these away during the conference and the more we have, the more we’ll give away.  Suggestions:  gift cards, electronics, DVD’s, gift baskets, tickets to sports events or concerts, etc.

Our 2018 DCon Group Service Project:  "Give the Gift of Sight - Guerrero Eye Clinic":  Collect used prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses (you don't need to know the prescription strength) and Rotarians will take them to the Guerrero Eye Clinic in Chihuahua, Mexico and given FREE OF CHARGE to children, teens, and adults.  Click here for a 90-second video.
