District Awards Category Criteria
These awards recognize outstanding achievements by Rotary and Rotaract clubs within our district.
Membership Growth and Retention Plan Award
This award recognizes a Rotary or Rotaract Club that demonstrates a strategic and planned approach to membership, leading to a net increase in its overall membership through effective retention of existing members and attraction of new ones.
Public Image and Marketing Award
This award is presented to a Rotary or Rotaract Club for its well-developed internal and external communication strategy. This strategy should utilize diverse tools and techniques to enhance public awareness of Rotary and effectively support the club's service initiatives, fundraising efforts, and membership drives.
Community Service Award
This award honors a Rotary or Rotaract Club for exemplary programs and projects that align with one or more of Rotary's seven areas of focus. These initiatives must demonstrate a commitment to achieving sustainable positive change in the lives of community members, with projects rooted in thorough needs assessments that actively involve the community.
International Service Award
This award recognizes a Rotary or Rotaract Club for outstanding programs and projects that bring sustainable change to people in other countries, aligning with one or more of Rotary's seven areas of focus. These initiatives should be based on comprehensive needs assessments that engage the affected communities.
Support for Youth Award
This award acknowledges a Rotary or Rotaract Club for exemplary programs and projects that support youth in need, both locally and internationally. These initiatives should relate to one or more of Rotary’s seven areas of focus.
Rotary/Youth Partnership Award
This award is given to a Rotary or Rotaract Club that successfully partners with an Interact or Earlyact Club to address community or international needs. These collaborative efforts should align with one or more of Rotary's seven areas of focus.
Rotary Foundation Fundraising Award
This award recognizes a club that successfully develops and implements a strategy resulting in an increase in its per capita giving to the Annual Fund of The Rotary Foundation.
Frank Devlyn Award (The winner(s) of this award are selected by Inclusion Alberta.)
This prestigious award is presented annually to the club that creates meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. To qualify, the club must demonstrate that these employment opportunities represent more than five percent of its total membership.
Awards Determined After Year-End
The following awards are determined once the official year-end membership and financial data from Rotary International for June 30th are released.
Annual Membership Growth Award
This award recognizes the club that achieves the greatest net percentage increase in active membership during the Rotary year.
Annual Foundation Fund Award
This award is presented to the club whose members made the highest per capita contribution to The Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund during the Rotary year
End Polio Now Fundraising Award
This award recognizes a club that develops and implements a strategy resulting in an increase in its per capita giving to the End Polio Now Fund.
End Polio Now Award
This award is presented to the club whose members made the highest per capita contribution to the PolioPlus Fund during the Rotary year.
The Rotary Foundation (TRF) Banner Awards
These awards are presented to clubs who meet the following criteria (Clubs can be awarded up to 3 banners)
- One of only 1,520 clubs to achieve Top Three Highest in Per Capita Annual Giving honor in their district (only clubs with a minimum US$50 Annual Fund per capita contribution were eligible).
- One of only 4,000 club worldwide to attain tatu as Every Rotarian, Every Year Club (clubs must have achieved a minimum Annual Fund contribution of US$100 per capita with every dues-paying member contributing US$25 or more to the Annual Fund during the Rotary year).
- One of only 4,700 club worldwide to become a 100% Foundation Giving Club (clubs must have achieved an average of US$100 in per capita giving and 100 percent participation, with every dues-paying member contributing at least US$25 to any gift designation during the Rotary year).
