Old Business

Ray Serre reported that Canada Blood services will run a volunteer leaders meeting on Jan. 31  at 1700 at the CFB Petawawa Recplex (Building S117). Rotary has attended these in the past and they have proved to be very beneficial. It was agreed that Ray and Faye would attend. Ray will RSVP.

Report and New Business

1.    Club (Faye Reid)

a.     Arnold Lawrence reminded us that January is Rotary Awareness month. Faye is organizing a Q&A press conference (at a regular club meeting) with Carol Bullied at the Petawawa Post in the near future.

b.    All Paul Harris Award winners names are now posted outside of Rotary Room at Civic center. Thanks to Faye for getting this done so expeditiously.

2.    International (Norm Edwards)

The next club meeting will include the Club Foundation meeting. Members will vote on activities for 2011.

3.    District: Arnold Lawrence will speak to us about the  New Generation Rotary program at our "fireside chat" on Feb 08.

4.    New Member: Femi Babalola was introduced as a new member of the club. A ceremony was held to induct him into the club.

5.    50/50 (Ray Serre)

Won by Lynne and donated to Polio Plus.

Bingo (Ed Chow)

Pat, Arnold, Steve and Ed are the team for Thursday late night bingo.

Other Business

Arnold Lawrence reminded us of the overall club Constitution change: Five avenues of service instead of Four: new generation is the new one - all youth programs under one chair. The intent is  that this would focus clubs on youth programs. It has the effect of adding another executive position to the club.

There being no other business the meeting was adjourned at 1925.
