"Life is a journey, an odyssey of epic proportions. Who's in your huddle?"
Sara Reith, co-founder and executive director of OHuddle (Odyssey Huddle) 501(c)3 school based mentor program brought Orrville Rotarians up to date on the current mentorship program.  Serving 445 students in 14 area school buildings brought its own unique challenges to the organization.  Noting that "Mentorship is good for everyone", Reith highlighted the options, opportunities and programming for mentors and students, especially as many area schools were operating virtually due to COVID-19. OHuddle continued to build bridges to continue relationships and resources for mentors and students in an effort to awaken youth and their unique value through hope filled relationships and 1:1 mentoring.  Of particular interest during Reith's presentation was the sharing of details concerning OHuddle's first ever permanent nonprofit headquarters.  Wooster's New Hope Church generously donated its former parsonage to OHuddle and, with no budget but totally utilizing community talent and gifts with the support of area chambers of commerce, businesses and donations, OHuddle's permanent home at 969 1/2 Blachleyville Road in Wooster was completely renovated and dedicated in August 2021.  To learn more about OHuddle's 1:1 school based nonprofit mentor organization and find information about becoming a volunteer, mentor or sponsor, visit its Facebook page and/or contact Heather Warner, OHuddle's Director of Operations at hwarner@ohuddle.org.
