November 19 meeting
A district governor performs a very significant function in the world of Rotary and is extensively trained to provide leadership and guidance to the Rotary clubs in the district in which he or she serves.
The DG generously volunteers more than a year sharing  knowledge about current Rotary programs, policies and goals, and is a person of high standing in his or her profession, community and Rotary club. On November 19, James Carpenter, as president of the Orrville club, warmly welcomed thirty-year Rotarian Daniel Morgan who currently serves as district 6650 governor and is a member of the Jackson Township Rotary Club. Among his numerous topics of discussion, DG Morgan noted the many ways that countless Rotary clubs initiate, create and lead projects that save lives throughout the world, that adhering to the Rotary motto of Service Above Self is the reason that Rotary clubs exist, and that it's not necessarily the things that Rotarians do, but the compassion that we share.
DG Morgan receives a custom Orrville Rotary Club lapel pin from club president James Carpenter.
