Meet Rotarian Christina Lorson!Orrville Rotary Club Welcomes New Member: Christina Lorson
The Orrville Rotary Club is proud to welcome Christina Lorson as its newest member, bringing with her a warm spirit of service and a strong desire to make a difference in our local community. Christina grew up in central Florida and earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She and her husband Steve have been married for 17 years and are raising their three children here in Orrville. Christina currently works as an administrative assistant at Lorson Financial, supporting Steve and their family business.
Outside of work, Christina enjoys reading, walking, and spending time by the pool. She’s an active member of Grace Church in Wooster, where she volunteers in the nursery during services. Her commitment to helping others has long been part of her life—through involvement in church, school functions, and now through Rotary. When asked what drew her to Rotary, Christina shared, “I want to become more integrated in Orrville and get involved in volunteering within the community.” Introduced to Rotary by her husband, Steve, Christina is excited to learn more about the organization and find where she can contribute most. “Really, as long as I’m helpful and assisting, I’m happy. I think it’s important to be involved within the community you live.”
While still discovering her Rotary niche, Christina is especially passionate about causes related to books and education. She believes that time and compassion are two of the most valuable things she can give to the club and her neighbors. Christina also recognizes the challenges facing the community today, including hunger, the rising cost of living, and a general lack of volunteer involvement. She hopes to be part of the solution through service and outreach. “I want people to know that we care and will be there,” she says.
On a fun note, Christina comes from a proud Italian heritage—both her parents’ families immigrated from Italy. And when asked for a favorite quote, she shared this piece of motivation: “You only fail when you stop trying.” Please join us in giving a warm Orrville Rotary welcome to Christina Lorson!
