March 10 meeting

In lieu of a formal meeting featuring a guest speaker, members participated in a round table Q&A discussion and clarification bringing members up to date about club projects and projections, charities, meeting times and speakers and other matters. The weekly assembly was  highlighted by inducting new members  Lindsey Steiner Baumgartner and Joe Reed by president James Carpenter.
Reed, an attorney with Kropf Wagner Law Firm, graduated from Ohio State University and received his law degree from Ohio Northern University. Residing in Wooster with wife Julie and canine kids Baloo and Winter, Joe enjoys hunting, hiking, camping, woodworking and cross-fit training. To become more involved in the Orrville community and network with other professionals were reasons that Joe chose to join Orrville Rotary. In 2011 Lindsey Steiner was one of two Orrville Rotary delegates to the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) district future leader weekend assembly and has now returned years later as a full fledged club member. A 2012 OHS graduate and 2016 Baldwin Wallace University grad, Lindsey currently serves as YMCA Associate Branch Manager (Orrville) and as Associate Sports Director of Wayne County YMCA.  Married to Matthew Baumgartner and parents of dog Ellie, in her spare time Lindsey enjoys craft making, baking and outdoor activities such as biking, golfing and going for walks.  Joining Rotary was recommended to Lindsey by others and having found out what Rotary does, she wanted to be a part of it what we are and what we do. Welcome, welcome, Lindsey and Joe!
