Forget-Me-Not Baskets

In 2007, Sara Ringle made a basket donation to a local hospital of bereavement items. She specially selected items that she thought would be helpful for mothers that experienced loss during pregnancy or childbirth, with the viewpoint of being a young mom herself. After discussing it with friends, she continued to assemble and donate baskets and the cycle just continued. Since that year, they have assembled and donated THOUSANDS of baskets and shipped them nationwide.

On Tuesday February 4th, Sara came to the weekly Rotary meeting and presented to the club about Forget-Me-Not Baskets. They host a number of fundraisers to support their cause; in March they have a Zumbathon, in April it's Purse Bingo, and in July is their Elephant Run! On top of fundraisers, they also host regular "Loved. Lost. Remembered Programs." Those consist of events like a Self Love Salt Cave Session which is a support group designed to remind individuals of the importance of taking care of themselves, amidst the grieving process.

This organization makes a huge difference in the community and is an essential part of the care for mothers and families suffering from a loss during pregnancy or childbirth.
