The Orrville Rotary Club was pleased to welcome their new district Governor, Rich Tirpak, as their weekly speaker. Special guest, Don Noble, from the Wooster Rotary Club was also present.

Rich touched on a number of topics, but focused mainly on how our Rotarians can make an impact locally and nationally. His presentation was focused around four points; Commitment, Continuity, Communication, and Contribution. He believes that it takes those four things to make a club successful. Commitment for Rich is black and white, you are either committed or you are not and there is no in between. Our Rotary club needs to strive for members who are people of action and ability. He also believes that responsibility ties in very closely with this aspect. Continuity means that our club, its committees, and the board should be meeting regularly and make sure they are on the same page for the future of the club and its plans. We all know that communication is key, and Rich states that it takes communication from every member to keep the machine working. Lastly, he talked about contributions to the club and how it's important for each Rotarian to determine what their contribution will be. Money? Time? Looking for new Members? There are so many ways you can give back!

He also shared three goals he has for the district while he is in office. He hopes for each Rotary club within the district nets two members, each Rotarian creates an account on myrotary.org, and last that each club would create an event that is for children in the community. He finished off the presentation answering questions and talking to other fellow Rotarians. Thank you Rich for sharing your hopes and dreams for the 2023/2024 year!
