Veteran Guests in attendance at the luncheon meeting.
On Tuesday November 15th, 2022 the Orrville Rotary Club had a special weekly meeting for local veterans. Veterans came for a free Thanksgiving style meal sponsored by Aultman Orrville Hospital and provided by Das Dutch Kitchen. Rotarians were asked to invite veterans they have some relation to, and all were introduced and honored after the meal. Many different branches were represented, and many different military occupations and duties were discussed.

John Kropf told a quick story about his time in the Army as well as passing the Bar Exam and becoming a lawyer. Of all places, when finishing up his basic training, he met a PFC (Private First Class) who was also from Orrville. This particular PFC was responsible for aiding John in becoming a legal clerk for the Army.

Lori Thomas also gave a presentation on some of the things the Wayne County Veterans Service Commission does for our local vets. They offer dental insurance at discounted rates as well as provide aid to make claims on certain health issues possibly caused by their time in active duty. This year, they are providing certificates to all veterans and veteran widows in Wayne County to get a FREE turkey or ham for the holidays!

Thank you to ALL veterans for your service!
