With one club now visited and only 44 to go,  President Rich Corfman presents DG Michelle Charles with Orrville Rotary's distinctive cloisonné lapel pin to wear throughout her District 6650  travels and club visitations.
With antique tabletop brass bell and railroad spike at the ready, Rich Corfman (Rotarian since 2013) called to order his first meeting as the club's 2022-2023 president.  Welcoming prospective new members Kristen Beichler and Kenneth Weaver, Corfman then introduced meeting presenter Michelle Charles, Rotary District 6650 Governor.  Member of Canton Rotary Club and one of its past presidents, Charles has committed to visit each of the District's 45 clubs. Her visit to the Orrville club was the first of her yearlong tenure as DG.  In her presentation Charles laid out her goals and initiatives as she serves, with some focusing on member engagement, diversity equity and inclusion efforts and 100% member participation in Rotary International's Annual Fund program.  As Rotarians profess service to others, promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace, DG Michelle reminded local Rotarians of Rotary International president Jennifer Jones's theme to embrace and Imagine Rotary, adding "Imagine what we can do for our community, Imagine what we can do for our world."
