The sultry first day of Summer 2022 found local Rotarians gathered under the Rotary pavilion in Orr Park for the club's traditional annual installation of officers, directors and numerous committee chairpersons.  All were selected by their peers to be entrusted with the responsibilities that will shape the club throughout its 2022-2023 Rotary year.  Installing officer, seasoned local Rotarian Lynn Horner, highlighted the clubs legacy of Service Above Self as well as its longstanding support of Rotary International's seven areas of focus, namely:  Promoting Peace (Youth Exchange program); Fighting Disease (Polio Plus and CAMO); Providing Clean Water; Serving Mothers and Children (Obataan Women's Hospital in Ghana);  Supporting Education (Scholarships, Red Riders Read, and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library); Growing Local Economies (CAMO and Rails to Trails); and Protecting the Environment.  Horner also reminded Rotarians that the induction ceremony marked the beginning of the club's "legacy year" which now leads up to the completion of its 100th year since its charter in 1923. With pride and the service of its officers and members, Orrville Rotary Club continues to be a constant, relevant and significant presence in and for the community of Orrville.
