Wayne Guy, a well known Yellowknifer for 28 years and accomplished architect has joined the Yellowknife Rotary Club.

Wayne has lived in Yellowknife since 1978, but has a background of living throughout the world, including England, Jamaica and Montreal. After attending Dalhousie University he returned to YK, worked for others and then saw the light. He began his own architect firm of "Guy Architects" in 1990.

Throughout Yellowknife we are able to see samples of Wayne's extrodarinary skill and desire for creative design in buildings such as Ecole Alain St. Cyr and various homes throughout YK. He was priviledged to design the Inuvik Family Center, which contains the most northernly swimming pool in the world.

Wayne continues to be an active member in the NWT Association of Architects and is a Fellow of the Architectural Insititue of Canada. His interest in Rotary began in high school, where he won trophies in Rotary Speaking competitions.

The Rotary Club of Yellowknife proudly welcomes Wayne (and his spouse Constantina) to our Club and we know that he will be an active member in following the Four Avenues of Service.
