Club President Wayne Guy, new member Marta Moir and Club Secretary Liam Miszczak.
The Rotary Club of Yellowknife is pleased to announce the induction of two new members: Marta Moir and Cheryl DeVine.
Marta moved to Yellowknife in 1991. She is married to Ian and has two adult children, Lauren and Christopher who were born and raised in Yellowknife.
Educated in Ontario in Computer Science and Systems Development, her 35-year career with various private and public organizations has provided her with a variety of experiences in the Information Technology and Information Management field.
Prior to retiring in 2020, she was Director of Informatics and Health Technology with the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority.
Inductor Norma Jarvis, new member Cheryl DeVine, and Guest Speaker Coordinator Austin Marshall.
Cheryl arrived in Yellowknife in 1980. She is married to Ray Case, and has two sons, Devin and Liam. From a professional perspective, her career has taken her in many directions in lab medicine, environmental lab and public health. Her passion for the environment and health are both a personal and professional interest.
Through Cheryl’s work experiences, she has gained knowledge in medical laboratory science, our NWT population’s health concerns, infectious disease prevention and control programs as well as our immunization programs here in the North.
This brings the total to four new members so far this year. And we are always looking for more people who are interested in contributing to the community through Rotary.
Our membership director is the very friendly Yanik D’Aigle, whose email is: yanik.daigle@gmail.com.
