Cathie Bolstad and the 2008 Arctic Winter Games
Cathie Bolstad, President of the 2008 Arctic Winter Games Host Society, gave an excellent speech and powerpoint production today at our club meeting.
In 2005, Cathie presented the City of Yellowknife's winning bid to host the 2008 Games to the Arctic Winter Games International Committee. Her presentation was obviously resounding, as Yellowknife will be hosting the 2008 Games. She is very active fundraiser for the AWG and loves promoting the celebration of sport and culture.
Her current job is the manager of Public and Corporate Affairs for NWT Projects, at De Beers Canada Inc. With handling all of the public relations for De Beers in the NWT, she was a natural for championing the AWG for Yellowknife.
Our community looks forward to hosting the Arctic Winter Games in Yellowknife, and congratulates Cathie on her outstanding presentation at our club.
