Our Rotary Club Is Having a Fun and Productive Summer

Summer is off to a great start. Our club joined Rotary friends from across Rhode Island for a meal packing event that prepared food for communities all over the state. Several members brought meals back to Scituate to support our neighbors.

We also kicked off the season with a happy hour at Drift Bar at Harbor Lights. Thanks to everyone who joined us. All tips collected are being donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Club members will be walking on September 26 from the Scituate Rotary Farmers Market, and we welcome anyone who would like to join our team.

The Rotary garden is planted and will provide fresh donations to the local food pantry. Planning is underway for installing the memorial bricks at the playground. We will again cohost chowder and clam cakes at the Senior Center with the Lions Club, a tradition we all enjoy.

The farmers market is in full swing, and we have added a Rotary welcome table. Stop by to learn how you can get involved. We will be hosting a Family Day at the market with a bouncy slide and more. We love offering free family activities each week and running a market that brings the community together.

Our club enjoys fellowship and fun. In July we will visit Nickle Creek Winery, and in August we will head to Newport Polo.
