Installation and Awards Banquet 2012

After our meal, district 6890 District Governor Alan Feldman addressed the group.

In his remarks he stressed the accomplishments our club and our district made this year. He also encouraged us to continue to support our incoming officers to ensure our clubs continued growth and success.

President Keith Smith next presented perfect attendance pins to the many members of our club with perfect attendance.  Plaques were presented to the outgoing officers, directors and avenues of service chairmen.  Outgoing officers include - Billy Keel, Treasurer, Aaron Davis, Secretary, and Billy Riddle, Sgt-At-Arms.  The outgoing directors include Jim Scott, Tom Davis, Martin Girling and Ben Cook.  The Avenues of Service Chairmen included Brian Griffin, Community Service, Dennis Digamon, International Service, Ben Cook, Club Service and Felix Haynes, Vocational Service.  Recognition and plaques were also presented to Foundation Chairman, Tim Kip, Program Chairman, Amity Kokochak, and Membership Chairman, Clayton Jenkins.  Also recognized and presented with plaques were Wild Game Chairmen Brian Griffin and James Surrency and Dancing with the Locals Chairman Jeremy Burris.  

The Rising Star Award, given to a new Rotarian for outstanding service during the year, was presented to Charles Harris.

The Rotarian of the year award was presented to Bill Wicker.

Next, District Governor Alan Feldman returned to the podium for the installation of the incoming officers. First, Governor Feldman administered the oath of office to incoming President Billy Keel.

Next the other officers and directors for the 2012-2013 year were installed.

New member, Matt Edgemon was installed by Governor Feldman and welcomed by membership chairman Clayton Jenkins.

 Newly installed President Billy Keel addressed the group.

He then thanked outgoing President Keith Smith on behalf of the club and presented him with the gavel plaque and Past President’s pin.
