The Installation of 2009-2010 officers of the Plant City Rotary Club was held June 29th, 2009 at the Red Rose Inn Ballroom.
The Installation of 2009-2010 officers of the Plant City Rotary Club was held June 29th, 2009 at the Red Rose Inn Ballroom. Current President Bill Davis welcomed those attending. Current District Governor Beverly Hunt gave remarks and presented President Bill with the club's Presidential Citation for the 2008-2009 year. Perfect attendance awards were given out and Zane Blanton (the only remaining charter member of the club) was presented a Distinguished Service Award. Linda McCall, club executive secretary, was recognized and thanked for her continued service.
Outgoing officers and directors were recognized as well as this years Wild Game cookout chairmen: James Surrency and Keith Smith. Brian Griffin was presented a plaque after being named this year's Rotarian of the year.
Incoming president Jimmy Carapezza was recognized by president Bill Davis and then Jimmy was sworn in by DG Beverly Hunt. After the new directors had been sworn in, President Jimmy made his incoming remarks and recognized outgoing president Bill Davis. Bill was presented a past-president's pin and plaque and the ceremony was adjurned.
