Presidents Day program

If you missed our Feb 16th meeting, you missed a rare opportunity of visit with some of the historical moments of our club. The audience listened as many of our past presidents heard about some of the most memorable times of that our club lived through.

Current Club President Philip Weiss started by reading aloud the year and name of our past presidents starting with 1945 - John Sauble. As Phil read the name of a past president that was in attendance, that person came to the podium to summarize the organization and events of the club during their term. We heard from Len Caminer, Jim Mirgliotta, Andy Richner, Doug Johnson (by proxy), Cindy Leonard, Dave Harper, Art LaFountaine, and Tim Edgington (by proxy). This was a wonderful opportunity for the newer members to learn more about their club, its history, its current and former members, and different perspectives of what it means to be a Rotarian and a member of our club.

Many, many thanks to the past presidents for their service to the club and for making the effort to participate in this event. I, for one, truly enjoyed arranging it as well as listening to the many adventures this club has been on, the projects that this club has accomplished and the members that contributed to the clubs success.
