On May 4, 2011, the Rotary Club of Twinsburg recognize 4 Paul Harris Fellow recipients.  Three of the recipients were first time Paul Harris Fellows.  They were Kathi Procop, Andrew Richner and Philip Weiss.  The 4th recipient was a 2nd Paul Harris Fellow for David Harper.  thank you all for your generosity and support of The Rotary Foundation's programs.

The Rotary Foundation recognizes donors who give generously.  The Paul Harris Fellow award is earned for every $1,000 donated to the Annual Program Funds or Polio Plus.  It is a great honor to recognize and be recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.

Many members are close to the next $1,000 level and probably don't know it.  You can determine you current giving through Member Access from the RI web site http://www.rotary.org/ .  The club Rotary Foundation committee chair can run a Club Recognition Summary, which lists each member cumulative contributins to The Rotary Foundation.  I encourage you to use Member Access to get this information.  If you have not registered with Member Access, do so today.  Registering with Member Access also allows you to make contributions on-line and save postage and time.

There have been several Rotary Foundation contribution double recognition periods recently.  The only way to take advantage of these opportunity was to make your contribution online using Member Access.  Currently, there is an opportunity sponsored by District 6630 to do just that.  From May 5 to June 30, 2011, if you contribute online to the Annual Programs Fund and your club is in District 6630, the district will match your contribution $1 for $1 up to $250.  District 6630 will only do this for the first $8,000 contributed, so timing is of the essence.

There are several other recognitions you can earn based on your level of contributions that The Rotary Foundation.  If you give $100 to the Annual Program Funds you become  Sustaining Every Year Every Rotarian (EYER) member.  If you give $1,000 to the Annual Programs Fund or Polio Plus within a Rotary year, you will be Paul Harris Society member.  If you give $1,000 outright, or commit $1,000 of your estate, to the Permanent Fund you become a Benefactor.  If you give $10,000 to The Rotary Foundation, you become a Major Donor.  If you commit $10,000 of your estate to The Rotary Foundation, you become a Bequest Society member.

Check out our current contribuion history.  You may be closer to one of these awards than you think.
