One more well for a developing nation

The Wellsprings of Change group had a very successful End-Of-Summer Dance fundraiser. They were very ecstatic about the response they received from the community of Twinsburg. Here is a summary of their event.

Hello, ... most of us have been busy getting ready for college. Thank you for the kind congratulations! We are ecstatic that we have been able to raise over $5,900, almost a thousand more than the $5,000 necessary to build a well, and donations are still coming in!

We spent all morning on August 15th, 2010, preparing for the dance, and when people started arriving at 6:30, we could tell our efforts paid off. Unfortunately, we neglected to collect ticket stubs, so we don't know the exact number of teens in attendance, but our estimate is somewhere around 120-150 people. Our teacher chaperons helped distribute food and sell T-shirts, water bottles, and raffle tickets for a variety of gift baskets, and DJ Jules made sure everyone had a good time. We were astounded by the extent of community involvement - over 30 businesses assisted our efforts, and they were thanked in a power point presentation that streamed for the entire event. We could not believe the outpouring of kindness, hope, and joy that we witnessed at the Hilton Garden Inn on August 15th, and we cannot wait to do this all again next year. Thanks again for all your help! In one year, when we find our where our well will be built, we will be sure to let you know!
