Nine Rotarians and 8 Home Depot associates teamed up to assemble 4 flower benches that were distributed along the Old Hickory trail.
The service project team worked diligently from 5pm to 6:30pm to assemble and finish 4 flower benches that were evenly distributed along the Old Hickory Trail. These durable benches will be appreciated by the hikers and walkers would like to rest for a moment or just enjoy the wooded area that surrounds Old Hickory Trail. Many thanks to Jason for organizing this project and including our club. Soon we will be deciding on a plaque that will be affixed to each of the benches that will bring more awareness to the community about the contributions that the Rotary Club of Twinsburg and the Home Depot volunteers make. If you have a chance, take a walk along the Old Hickory Trail and see & enjoy the benches. The Old Hickory Trail runs from the east end of the Josh Miktarian Parkway (by the community gardens) to the intersection of Sherwin and Croyden roads. On our way out, we visited by a Red Tail Hawk. There are many other wonders of nature that can be observed there. Thank you to all Rotarians and Home Depot volunteers who helped make this a successful project and thank you to Jason for initiating and managing this project.
