Rotary Club of Hillsborough Donates Dictionaries to Hillsborough/Manville Third-Graders

Hillsborough, N.J. November 3, 2017

The Word of the Day was charity for Hillsborough and Manville third graders last week as The Rotary Club of Hillsborough once again distributed free dictionaries to the children at each of the towns’ elementary schools.  Club members were on hand to help the students understand the importance of community service and the role that Rotary plays in their town.  Rotary Club of Hillsborough member and Township Committeemen, Greg Burchette organized the annual event.

“It is never too early to instill a sense of community spirit in our children,” commented Greg Burchette.  “The first word we ask the students to look up in their new dictionaries is charity, which we hope sparks a classroom conversation about how each of us can contribute to a better community.”
