Polio is still infecting people in Afghanistan, India, Nigeria, and Pakistan. Ann went to Nigeria with a group of Rotarians from the United States. Rotary sponsors trips to Nigeria four times a year to give an extra push to the current immunization program. This is called National Immunization Program. Members from Rotary, Interact, and health volunteers travel the country giving out Polio vaccines, vitamin A, and measles injections. Ann gave a great speech on her thirteen days in Nigeria assisting with the immunization program. This was accompanied by a wonderful slide presentation.

Candace adjourned the meeting.
