SHS Environmental Club would like to thank Rotary Club of Scituate, MA and the Scituate Chamber of Commerce for treating us to a fun fall afternoon! This kicked off our year’s activities. We had a friendly race challenge through the corn fields, picked our own pumpkins and got a ride on the bus. This would have been impossible without the generosity of these organizations. Our Rotary members are most pleased to be aligned with director, local Rotary member Juvy Hartweg_and students of Scituate High School's Environmental Club. Since Rotary International has added a seventh area of focus " Protecting The Environment ", the Environment Club's efforts dovetail with this newest area of focus. The Scituate Rotary club recently participated in sponsoring a field trip on October 11th to Sauchuk Farm and we look forward to more connections and events with them as we work together towards this mutual goal.
