On September 7th, Rotary Club of Scituate member Joseph Kelley spoke at the Scituate Senior Center's Men's Cafe Breakfast. Joe, Gold Star parent, spoke beautifully about his son Michael, the Michael J Kelley School in Afghanistan and recent happenings in the region. Joe's presentation was not only inspiring but also informative. There was follow up audience participation and we all left with a fuller understanding and perspective of this long war. With the upcoming 20th anniversary of 9/11, his talk was timely, moving and thought provoking. The Scituate Rotary Club is so proud of Michael for serving his country fighting for
all of us , and are forever saddened that he gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
