No Queen of Hearts was found

Dan was speaker. He said he belongs to The Woman’s Support Group. They enhance small business groups that help train the women especially the widows. They sell products where they get supplies wholesale from Kenya.

He brought several products to sell. He talked about the Kinga soap that they make, which is all natural Mosquitoes repellent. He talked about an ointment made by a man used for dry skin and an ointment made from products from the Rain Forrest to use as a muscle rub. Sandy and Dan told how this product had helped them. He also had other made products for sale.

Dan said he mainly wanted to talk about relationships in Capstone

Ministries Said how some people feel if they just get something they really want then they will be happy but this doesn’t work. He said when he grew up in a large low income family what was important was the love and stability in his family. The really issue with the street boys is not that didn’t have something but that they didn’t have someone. Something happened in their family with a breakdown in relationship and they didn’t feel safe.

At one time Capstone ministries kept the boys for counseling and felt it was needed before the boy went back to his family. They have found out that not to be the case and now the boys are returned home. It takes time for the family to trust the staff to come in and find out what the problems are. We have learned that relationships take time , repeated expressions of repentance and forgiveness, persistence and the spiritual gifts of faith to bring a family to a point of being reconciled. He gave an overview of the process of reconciliation at Capstone Ministries Follow -up visits with the family is the strength of the Capstone Program. They have worked with 450 boys. They have developed a relationship with the government and local police.

He also talked about the camp they have with other missionaries. They have 20-25 boys that have recently returned home and are in school. At he camp they are scheduled all day with teaching, counseling and game time. The games are about team work to teach them how to work together. Parents have praised the camps and said how it has changed the boy in so many positive ways. Dan then showed a brief slide show of the boys at the Capstone Camp.

Dan then presented Debbie with on of the made necklaces made in Kenya.

Meeting was adjourned.
