Two new members were inducted at the annual Charter Night of our Club. Don Scott and Rick Chappell were officially welcomed by President Orville Sleen.
This years perfect attendance awards hit a mile stone with the longest attendance award ever handed out by the Club. Dwight Brown was presented with a 25 year pin for his efforts by President Orville and by Admin Director, Dennis Bichel. Ten other Rotarians were handed perfect attendance pins for various years achieved (a few others were absent from the presentations).
Former Westlock Food Bank Chair, Sister Eileen and two others were on hand to accept our annual donation of $3000. Sister Eileen retired from the Food Bank at the end of 2014 and was presented a Paul Harris Fellow for her years of dedication at last years Charter night.
This years guest speaker was fellow Rotarian, Ralph Leriger, who put on his Mayor of Westlock hat and gave a great presentation about the Town of Westlock. Ralph started with a recap of the New Years Eve celebration put on by the 100th Anniversary Committee and laid out the rest of the events that were planned for the year to celebrate the town's century milestone. He also gave an update on the Town's current status and the progress that has been achieved over the last two years and gave an overview of the three year plan for the Town.
President Orville was pleased with the turnout for the event and thanked everyone for their attendance and continued efforts in making this Club successful.
