  1. Christmas Meeting Sign up sheet: Let Lorretta or Laurel know if you are attending and if you can bring anything to eat.
  
  1. Furniture Donation: A young man needs some furniture. He is looking for a couch and bed if anyone has anything that are willing to give to him. Contact Dawn if you have anything to give to him.

  1. New Generations: Interact Club is official and is registered with Rotary International. They will be having a charter celebration and will be sponsoring the event. T-shirts are in and Lorne will bring one next week to show us. The club will be collaborating with the Vegreville Interact club on their international project. They are working on a playground in Belize. There are 15-16 kids now. There is a Zen Den which is in JR Robson school which is a safe space for students and is where they can talk to the Social Emotional Coach. There is a care closet in the Zen Den and will be looking at doing a donation drive to get supplies for this closet. Personal items, mitts, toques, hygiene products, etc.
Youth exchange- we have 2 host families already, will probably need 2 more but they don’t necessarily need to be Rotarians.
 
  1. Member Proposal: Denise Williams (pharmacist at Shoppers)
 
  1. Lions Club of Vermilion-Challenge. Justin and Pat talked to us about the blanket warmers that are needed for the long-term care. The Lions Club has purchased one of these warmers and are challenging us to also purchase one. The approximate cost is $6000. Each blanket warmer will hold about 15 blankets. Each wing needs a blanket warmer.
Bruce motioned that we accept the challenge to purchase a blanket warmer for Vermilion Long Term Care Facility. Dawn Seconded
Voted on the motion was carried.
We will get together to do a picture with the warmers
 
Lions are also involved in a Ham N Turkey Bingo this Friday @ St. Olgas Church, and Santas Anonymous at the Atco building this Saturday.  Santas Anonymous costs around $18000 and there are 46 families (100 kids) that will be receiving packages this year. Toys and gift cards are given for the food portion. Start at 8:30 in the morning to delivery the packages to the families.
 
They are wanting to build a toddler playground by the Alliance Church. Since there is a daycare at this church now. They have received $35,000 from Community Lottery for this toddler playground. They will be approaching Rotary about partnering with Lions to help build. Hoping to get the playground to be installed in the spring of 2025.
 
There are 19 members in the Lions Club.
