  4. Brenda-Proposal for August Furniture sale- follow-up/update  on Brenda’s presentation for a Furniture Sale last week.  The Garage Sale committee took into consideration the hesitancy of members on holding an “in person” Furniture Sale and the increase of active Covid-19 cases in the County of Vermilion River and surrounding communities, therefore the Furniture Sale as presented will not be going forward.  A new format to the sale was discussed by the committee members and presented to the club as follows;
  1. Mike and Scott have offered the Webb’s RV shop as a venue to hold an alternate type of sale, an Online Auction.  Shaun will serve as the organizer/manager of the “online” part of the sale.
  2. Once flags are out of the shop, small scheduled crews will extract furniture from the sea can and it will be moved to the RV shop.  Each lot of furniture must then have its picture taken, a lot number assigned and  be placed in the shop
  3. There is a very small window of opportunity for the sale, as it needs to be done while the flags are out of the shop.  Once all of the photos are completed Shawn will post them online, from then we will start the auction The auction will run the week of August 3, bidding remaining open until August 6 and August 8 as the final loading day for purchases
  4. Brenda is circulating a sign up sheet for 3 different daily shifts to remove, sort, etc.  These shifts will start on July 28 so please contact Brenda Lee if you are available to assist with this project in any way next week.  Shifts are designed to limit personal contact to comply with Alberta Health recommendations
  5. Furniture to be included:  couches, tables, beds, chairs, desks, lamps…..no small household items will be sold at this time
  6. We will not be accepting donations from the public at this time unless prior arrangements were made
  7. No in home deliveries at this time, possibly curb side delivery…up for further discussion
  8. Preferred method of payment would be e-transfer.  Scott has a mobile debit machine we could possibly borrow
