Kevin Lucas - Community Services Director for the Town of Vermilion
Kevin comes from Wetaskiwin, and has an extensive background in municipal government and Community Services. He is a journeyman Autobody technician but left that field several years ago. He is currently working on his MBA. He has been married for 25 years and his wife works for the Wetaskawin School District as a councilor. He started in Vermilion March 16, right at the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic. He was happy to find that $80,000 had already been raised for the “Think Ice” project which will be reignited throughout the winter. He also stated that the Facility Enhancement committee has started up again. Hockey and figure skating are also a “go” for the winter with many Covid 19 precautions in place.
