Regular Meeting Minutes
- Call to Order, O Canada, Prayer, Four way test
- Welcome and Introduction of Guests: Erwin Warkentin
- Thanks to Team 2 for breakfast today!
- Birthdays /Anniversary: Rick Donily June 15, Shellie and Dave Bates June 15
- New Business:
- Bruce MacDuff proposed Erwin Warkentin as a member. Members have a week to bring any concerns to the Executive.
- Budget 2018-2019:
Piano Tuning: Bruce confirmed we receive donations for the use of the piano.
Flags: A discussion around the budget being built with 350 flags sold versus 300, are we
following the Chairman’s recommendation?
Reserves: It was explained that there is a reserve of $68k this year due to Harvest Gala
expenses (versus the $71k for this year)
Brenda moved that we pull the motion from last weeks discussion and accept the budget as
presented on June 7, 2018. Janine 2nd. Motion Carried
Motion to accept the budget as is. Motion Carried.
- Interact Club Community Long Table Dinner: The dinner went very well, and Kirby thanked everyone that were able to participate in joining us! The kids did a fabulous job. Their windup is this coming Monday and they have already started planning a fall dinner!
- Cash Draw tickets: Thank you to everyone who took tickets to sell yesterday morning! I have 50 left to disburse for those that need them! Feel free to bring the money you collect to any meeting, and I am in town almost every day if you need me to meet you!
- Youth Compliance Certification: To give the club a heads up that this will be on the table to discuss as we have to inform the district by JULY 4 if we would like to participate.
- Butz wedding bartending: We have been hired to bartend a wedding on July 14 at the Regional Centre. We will need 4 people for this event. If you would like to join us for what is sure to be fun night even for a couple of hours, please let Dawn or Loretta know ASAP! (People are needed more through the beginning and dinner time for ticket selling)
- Next meeting: Off site meeting on June 28, the Vermilion Valley Lodge. Emily and Maynard will be joining us!
- Sargent’s Report: Robin was fined for selling the fair booth chairs at the garage sale!
