  1. Funding Request: Friends of Vermilion Health Centre.
Motion: Vermilion Rotary Club will donate $16800.00 to the Friends of Vermilion Health Centre for the purchase of the Centrella Smart Plus Bed.

Discussion: Are there any other items that they would like to raise money for. Next time they meet is in January and they will give us a wish list of items after that. Discussed only doing half the amount of the bed. Bruce made a friendly amendment to make it for 8400.00 which was declined by Darlene. It was put to a vote, and it was carried to give the full amount.

  1. Dance update from Corey Buckingham’s girls: The girls went to Disney World Florida. The girls were split into 2 different groups. Rehearsals and dance lessons were all day long. Some started at 9 and went until 6. Lots of hard work. Beautiful pictures were shown to us. Christmas dance will be posted on you tube. Kids went to special spots within the Disney that no one normally sees. Top secret locations where no pictures were aloud to be taken. Instructors were from Canada. This was a very special experience for the girls.
 
  1. Harvest Gala: Nov 8, 2025, is tentatively booked, and Shawn is staying on as chair.
  
  1. Craig Brown is a major donor to Rotary Foundation
 
  1. Vulnerable Sector Check: Everyone needs to do this. Need 2 pieces of government id. One must be a photo ID
 
  1. Tims Hortons Smile Cookies: Focus is the sole recipient of this event. There is a challenge amongst rotary club from Vermilion and Lloyd.  Nov 18 to 24th. Get a receipt and give to Dawn.

  1. Social Activity: On December 5 we are going to Derwent Pizza. Let Loretta or Laurel know if you can attend. They will need to know about a week before. A sign-up sheet will be going around before.
 
  1. Challenge from Lion’s Club: Blanket warmer machine for $6,000. The Lions club purchased one machine and has challenged us to also purchase a machine also. Dawn will ask the Lions Club and Elise Rayment from the Vermilion Long Term Care to come and talk to us.
 
  1. Fun Facts/Back in the 80’s: Loretta talked about Walter Scott and a break in at the golf course.
 
  1. Sargent at Arms: All funds going to Foundation for the month of November
