Mindy Thorne - next outbound exchange Student

       My full name is Mindy Elizabeth Maria Thorne and I am the 2008 Outbound Exchange Student. I was born on April 19th of 1991 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. So yeah I am 16, almost 17. I have lived in Islay for the last 13 years. When I was younger I lived in Campbell River, B.C, but I don't remember that. I am allergic to all kinds of chocolate, but no worries I never really liked chocolate. I am currently attending grade 11 at Kitscoty Junior Senior High School. I am president of our Student Council as well as our S.A.D.D (Students Against Drinking and Driving) Chapter. I live in Islay with my Mom and Dad and two brothers, 3 cats and 1 dog. My Mom's name is Kim and she is a Dietary Aide at the Islay Health Care Centre. My Dad's name is Ray and he is a welding consultant. My oldest brother is Cole, he is 19, and on February 4th he starts college in Olds, where he hopes to become a meat cutter. My little brother is Josh, he is 14 and in grade 9, attending the same school as I do. When I graduate from grade 12 I hope to attend college and possibly university to become one of the following: Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or a Principal. When I go on my Exchange my top three choices are: 1. Switzerland--2. Austria--3. Finland. I feel that anyone of those countries would be more than satisfactory for me. I am looking forward to my trip and I hope that I do not disappoint any of you.
