Thank you to Team 3 for Breakfast
Off-Site Meeting: There will be an off-site meeting on August 30th at The Red Brick. You must RSVP as they are making breakfast for us.
VP Record Check: Reminder that we need to be completing record checks as a club for all members. It is required by the district for all who are involved with our youth organization, Interact, plus any situation where we are around youth or vulnerable persons. Many of our projects like VES Hot Lunch volunteering and Purple Pinkie day take us inside schools as well. The Vulnerable Persons check needs to be done in person at the RCMP detachment on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. You will need to two pieces of ID, all the addresses you’ve held in the previous five years, and you tell them it is for the Rotary Club of Vermilion. If their system flags something, you will be required then to get fingerprints done and Rebekah can provide you with a letter confirming you belong to the club. Once you have the record check back, there is an e-mail address to send it to - securitychecks@rotary5370.org
Project Review: As we move into fall, we will be doing a project review on all of our club service and fundraising projects. This will be an opportunity to hear about our projects, to learn more for new members or for members who haven’t previously been involved, as well as to brainstorm and discuss some details surrounding our projects. If you are the chairperson of a project you will be expected to present in a meeting.
District Conference: The District Conference will be held in Edmonton this year October 18-20th. District Governor Ingrid highlighted the conference on her visit in July, and attending a district conference is a great way to learn more about wider world of Rotary.
Membership Survey: Discussion in pairs or small groups, then shared to the club.
