  1. O Canada/Four Way Test
  2. Introduction of Guests: Harm introduced two visiting guests
  3. Breakfast – Thank you to team 2
  4. WE are looking for some new members for the Rotary Employment partnership. If your interested please talk to Kirby.
  5. Dawn collected approx. $300 for Purple Pinky Day.
  6. Rebekah gave updates from Erwin regarding the park. The town has a new community services representative. They are having a meeting at 2PM today at the proposed park location.
  7. Flag Reconditioning workshop on Saturday at the Webb’s RV building starting at 9AM. If you have Flags at home, please bring them so they can be refreshed.  Many hands make light work.
  8. Harvest Galla update – The expenses are all in, the club raised over $40,000. Thanks to all the members involved, and the Community for their generous support.
  9. Funding request for a child care centre in Murnam. The estimated costs for setting up the centre are $30,000. Bevin motions that we donate $550 to Vermilion play development to be used for the Murnam. Bevin accepted a friendly amendment by Bruce to increase that commitment to an initial $2,500 with ongoing $550 per year support. This was defeated in pursuit of a modified motion. Bevins new motion is to do a 1 time donation of $2,500 towards the Murnam Child Care Centre through Vermilion Play development, ongoing support would be looked at in coming years. Seconded by Darlene.  The motion to amend was passed, the amended motion also passed.   
  10. Signature project for the Garage Sale, we are looking to name a signature project for this year’s garage sale. Options we are looking at are the floor at the senior’s centre, the rural school project at the museum. It was discussed at Executive to look at Bruce motions that we name the armories as the signature project at the armories. Seconded by Bevin. Discussion. Possibility of having 2 signature projects, while this is possible traditionally there has been 1 signature project. This does not preclude us from supporting secondary projects, and easier to advertise.  Vote – Passed.  Bruce Motions to increase the signature project donation from the Garage sale to $7,500 from the traditional $5,000. Seconded by Robert S. Discussion. This is in line with the type of projects we want to support with the garage sale. Vote Passed.
  11. Harm mentioned that they are arranging for a Lakeland college tour that could be available to Rotary Members, also some of the Credit Union Staff and guests.
  12. Seargent – After a couple weeks off, Fines were levied!
