Vermilion Allied Arts Council Presentation by Danielle Smith
                              Danielle is a representative of the social media and fundraising committee.
                              Allied Arts Council brings in entertainment to the Lakeland College Theatre (5 concerts will be held this year)
                              The Council has been active for 50 years.
                              Due to the rising cost of entertainment and lower attendance which has made it more difficult to maintain their programming and ticket prices.
                              Using a crowd funding program where the Government of Alberta will match up to $5000.  
                              Example if they raise $5000 the government will make in the amount of $2500.
                              They need to receive the money by Aug 18
                              Asking for a donation of $1500 towards the Allied Arts Council
 
Fair Booth:        Raised $5840
                            Prize     $2025                 
                            Ag Soc    $260 app
                            Appr income around $3100 total
                            Executive will be discussing about whether continuing with the current format or going to a 50/50 draw. Also changing the number of tickets printed more 5 for                                20 than the 1 for 5 tickets. Suggestion to print 200 1/$5 tickets and 2000 5/$20.

Playground:      Construction date is Sept 18 & 19
                            20 people to help with the build. Safety Equipment (steel toed boots) is needed when the machinery is doing groundwork.
                            Have to be an adult to participate.
 
Vulnerable Sector Record Check: need to have one for working vulnerable people and a copy must go to the district. This will be discussed at the next executive meeting.
 
Cash Raffle Draw: Get the tickets to Dawn by Tuesday of next week
 
Jean Murie: Fundraiser for the Museum today at the Co-op Gas Bar from 11 to 1
 
Linda Snow: Inducted Linda Snow into our club as our newest member to Rotary International
 
District Conference: Registration for the District Conference will be held at Whitehorse on May 15 to 17, 2026.
                                    If six or more attend there is a discount to the conference
