  2. Introduction of Guests Susan (from inclusion) and her daughter Caliba, Mayor Greg Throndson

  4. Note that Dawn is under the weather, Thank you to Laurel for pitching in.
  5. Presentation from Mayor Greg Throndson – Discussed some of the history of Vermilion and how plans have changed over the years. Current major issues being dealt with by council – 1 the sewer Trunk line that feeds all the way to the West end of Vermilion. This line is at capacity and is a limiting factor in expansion of the community. They are adding a few new lots in Brennan in the short term. They also need to remove the old Sewer building and that should happen this year. Right now ambulances in Vermilion are restrained, they are working to get that resolved as well. Primus Fibre has been bought out by Bell. This will add the ability to bundle internet with other services like TV packages etc. There is an open house next Thursday to meet with local Police services. There is still a new Station coming, and hopefully they can start in 2025. - *Question if the new trunkline will accommodate development of Brennan North, and they believe it will. *There have been some commercial lot sales in the community. *The Oiler visit was also mentioned. *Question of the status of the Airport, this is still being discussed, this is a big and costly long-term decision. Encouragement to reach out to Council if you have questions and concerns.
  6. Paul Harris Presentation – Kory presented Robin Sherwood with a Paul Harris +3.

  8. Loretta’s Corner – Mentioned Fred Felner’s (a local Vermilion Farmer) expertise with the hybridisation of Lillys. Planted 10,000 bulbs per year in a 12-year process to hybridise them.
