  1. Exchange Student: Jay Barrett introduced himself and let us know he’s going to Brazil. Will be learning Portuguese.
 
  1. Vermilion Soccer Association:
Motion: Vermilion Rotary club will purchase an AED for the soccer associations soccer shack.

This motion was tabled at the February 13th meeting until we heard back from the soccer club as to whether during the winter months that the curling club has the AED has the machine then. The soccer association she agreed to sharing the AED. Erwin Amended motion: We will also fund the purchase of smaller pads for this machine. Seconded: Bruce

  1. New Generations:  
Adventure in Human Rights at Winnipeg in the month of August approximate cost of $2500
Motion: Vermilion Rotary Club will send a second student to the Adventure in Human Rights.

  1. President Elect for 2025/2026: still looking for one; If interest in being president please let Dawn know so that the executive can make plans if there isn’t anyone. Most of the current executive will stay on.
 
  1. District Convention: Door prize basket:
Motion: Vermilion Rotary Club will supply 2 tickets for the Harvest Gala to the District Conference.

Amended:  Town of Vermilion will be supplying a mini fridge and looking into getting an item from the Copper Cork, Old School Cheesery and a night stay at the Pomeroy.

  1. Sherwood Park Club Request: Tabled
 
  1. Books for Belize: Sea Can is done and ready to go. Robin is getting quotes for the shipment of the can and will get back to us. 955 boxes, 33500 lbs of books and school supplies. Also has about 200 boxes more for another sea can. Robin is willing to do another sea can.  
 
  1.  Curling Team: Mike B., Shawn J., Eugene W., and Dean M.,
Motion: Vermilion Club will be willing to host the next event in 2026 is asked.
