Guests: Curt Orbeck (SOL and Dewberry Schools Principal), Luke Mitchell, and Tess McQuaid (Heritage Oven Supporters Extraordinaires)
Thank you for the awesome breakfast Team One.
Birthdays: Scott is has his Rotary anniversary on the 9th.
Pizza Oven Social will be held in the spring after the Rotary Garage Sale.
New members are needed for the Social Committee as we have lost Dean and Dave. There is no traditional reason to have socials on the same day as the off-site meeting, so that routine may change. We will be having a Christmas Social.
District Governor Visit: DG Laura Morie will be visiting our club on October 26 and 27th. On the 26th she will be toured around town, attend an executive dinner meeting and meet our members at a dessert social. The next morning she will be guest speaker at our regular meeting.
Chamber Gala: Loretta and Dawn and anyone who would like to assist, will be bartending at the Chamber Small Business Gala on October 19th.
Curt Orbeck, Principal of the Dewberry School and Dewberry Students on Line School, was our guest speaker this morning. Students with Alberta addresses can access a variety of learning programs from three different types of home schooling styles or different types of high school student learning programs. Curt is also administrator of Buffalo Trail Public Schools Video Conferencing . All high school courses, either on line or by paper, are available to eligible students.
Card Draw: No winners, although Colton and Gus had a handful of tickets.
Cash Raffle: Winners for this month were Integra Tire - $150 and Integra Tire - $100. Rumor has it that Integra Tire supported Rotary by buying at least 4 or 5 tickets. Thank you Integra Tire, you deserved a double win.
Updates from Gus: Gus will provide his updates at the second meeting of each month.
Calendar Binders: Binders are overdue. Please hand into Kirby by Thursday. If you can help finish canvasing, please contact Kirby.
