Club Meeting - October 29, 2015
There was an unfamiliar chill in the air. A few persistent stars faded into the black. Yard lights dotted the horizon. Each car would slow down at the dark intersections. Faces peered up and eyes strained upwards to read the markers in whatever little light their headlights would provide. Was this a prelude to the Halloween season? Heck no, it was a stream of vehicles with Rotarians heading out to the Sherwood Farm at 7:00 AM. Thank you Robin for your hospitality and showing us around your “Books for Belize” operation. It’s amazing how many bond paper boxes can fit into a c-can! A work bee will be called when Robin is ready to load his “travelling” c-can. What a wonderful project Robin! Thankyou to Brenda, Dawn and Mindy for bringing breakfast.
Something to ponder: Craig is looking for a major project to complete his casino application. One suggestion was to tidy up the tennis courts/rink located between St. Jerome’s and VES. If you have any other projects to consider, please give Craig a call.
As the light dawned, the familiar string of cars and Rotarians wound their way back to town (probably a little faster).
