Club Meeting - October 28, 2010

The meeting was chaired by Club President, John Lunty
We were pleased to have District Governor, Jackie Hobal, and her husband Wayne with us this morning.
Reminder to those who are canvassing for the Rotary Calendars. Please have them handed in to Brenda Lee as soon as possible.
Dean introduced DG Jackie Hobal as the guest speaker. Jackie lead the membership induction ceremony for Cathy Wolters and Anthony Beglieni. Welcome to our club Cathy and Anthony!
Jackie also did a presentation on behalf of District 5370, which is made up of 60 Clubs and 2450 members. Jackie told us about her family, her home club as well how Rotarians are following this year's theme "Building Communities, Bridging Continents". Rotarians are involved in Canadas Centennial Project (a school in Afghanistan), youth exchange, Rotary Foundation, Group Study Exchange, Polio Campaign, Belize Literacy Program, Employment Partnerships, etc. Jackie has been busy visiting clubs in the District and you can learn more about her and her travels by visiting Jackie's blog .
