Highlights of the Month from Gus: Interact Club raised $457 on the weekend at their BBQ, selling burgers and popcorn. Gus is willing to try any Canadian excursions. His team is also playing football Saturday at 10:30.
District Governor Visit: DG Laura Morie will be visiting our club on October 26 and 27^th. On the 26th she will be toured around town, attend an executive dinner meeting and meet our members at a dessert social. The next morning she will be guest speaker at our regular meeting.
Chamber Gala: Many Rotarians were nominated for Small Business Awards in various categories at the Chamber Gala. Congratulations to Kirby for winning the Spirit of Vermilion Award and Candice the Employer of the Year Award.
Social Committee: See Dawn if you’d like to be part of the Social Committee.
Vocational: Robin’s Vocational has been postponed until a later date as he was called away to work.
Elementary Hot Lunch changed to October 25^th.
Vermilion Elementary School was spotlighted this morning when Principal Michelle Webb was our guest speaker. Hot lunch program, breakfast program, after school and noon hour clubs, walking club, buddy program, choir, drama, mentorship programs, star polishers! Wow, this little school is bustling! Michelle is also most proud of her staff and their teaching success as demonstrated in achievement test scores.
